Delete Account & Data

You are in control of your HERCode account and personal data. You can request deletion of your account and associated supported personal data.

How to request deletion

In the app

Sign in to HERCode and open the account/privacy settings. Select Request Account Deletion or Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps. For security, HERCode may require recent authentication before an account can be deleted.

By email

If you cannot access the app or your account, email hello@hercode.ai from the email address associated with your HERCode account with the subject: "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

What gets deleted

When a supported in-app account deletion successfully completes, HERCode's deletion process is designed to remove:

your HERCode account/profile data;
associated supported Firestore user data and entries;
supported user-owned uploads;
associated Firebase Authentication identity; and
other supported user-owned records covered by the deletion process.

Some information may be retained where required for:

legal obligations;
billing or transaction records;
fraud prevention;
security;
dispute resolution; or
another provider's independent legal obligations.

Data held by app stores

Purchases and subscription records held independently by Google Play or the Apple App Store are subject to those providers' own retention policies.

Important — subscriptions

Deleting the HERCode app or deleting your HERCode account does NOT automatically cancel an active Google Play or Apple App Store subscription.

You must cancel the subscription separately through the relevant app-store account settings.

Manual requests

Where you request deletion by email rather than completing the supported in-app process, we will process the request within the timeframe required by applicable law after any necessary identity verification.
